K9 Ado was struck and killed by a vehicle while in active pursuit of a carjacking suspect.
Ado's handler was responding to the original carjacking call when he observed the stolen vehicle. He followed it into an apartment complex parking lot where the driver and passengers fled on foot.
Ado was released to pursuit the driver and, as he chased him across 47th Avenue, was struck by a vehicle.
