Deputy Walter Sutton and Captain Ted Dotson of the Eufaula Police Department were killed in a plane crash while conducting a flight to search for marijuana.

Deputy Sutton had served with the Barbour County Sheriff's Department for 3.5 years. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

Daddy, today is your birthday and instead of turning 62 you are forever 29. I know that you are celebrating big in Heaven. The kids and I were looking at old pictures this morning and I was telling them all about their Grandaddy the hero that lives with Jesus. I wish that you were here to know them and love on them.
