Officer Danny Richmond was killed when a pickup truck hit his motorcycle head-on.

He was escorting an oversized truck on Highway 90. The traffic at the intersection they were passing through stopped to let the truck pass when another truck slammed into a stopped pickup truck, which in turn crashed head-on into Officer Richmond’s motorcycle.

Officer Richmond had served with the Beaumont Police Department for eight years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
