I did not have the opportunity to meet my Uncle. He died 9 days before I was born. However, I remember my Mom speaking of how much she loved her older brother and what a good person he was.
I had the honor of visiting his name on the NLIOM in Washington, D.C. and making two etchings. One for me. But also, one for my daughter who is serving her community as a Police Officer. Watch over her, Uncle Charles. She serves as you did with a love for community and a desire to protect.
Grateful to all who serve and their families.
