Philip Dryer Strobridge

Patrol Inspector Philip Strobridge succumbed to injuries received in an automobile crash on the Inland Highway (modern-day Route 76) three miles north of Vista, California.

He and three other inspectors were returning to San Diego on March 2, 1933, following a court appearance in Los Angeles when the crash occurred. Inspector Strobridge was transported to the Naval Hospital in San Diego where he succumbed to his injuries five days later.

Inspector Strobridge had served with the United States Border Patrol for two years. He was survived by his wife, parents, and brother.
