Deputy Britton was responding on State Route 62 when he lost control of his patrol car and struck a tree.

So hard to believe that it's been just over 25 years since the Lord called you Home. He had a higher purpose for you and needed you more than all of us did/do. The comfort in it all is knowing that one day, we as believers will see you again in Glory. I can still hear your voice and remember all of the teasing, like it.is was yesterday. I'll never forget that day of getting off shift at the hospital and coming to the house to watch Alise (Luke was with friends) until Lynn came home from work. That awful call of what had happened and rushing back to the house. Some memories never fade. I'm so grateful that God placed you, Lynn and your family in my life and that I was able to spend time with you, and then with them in the days/weeks and years after. Rest easy, friend until one day we meet again.
