Conservation Officer William Becker was found drowned at Matt-A-Mar Marina in the Town of Mattituck in Southold Township on the North Fork of Long Island.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unknown.
Officer Becker had served with the New York State Environmental Conservation Police for 15 years. He was survived by his daughter and two sons.
