Marshal Arnold was shot and killed while serving a warrant.
Marshal Arnold was issued a magistrate's warrant for the arrest of a suspect wanted for a misdemeanor. The suspect saw Marshal Arnold walking toward him and he drew a revolver and shot Marshal Arnold four times, killing him.
Marshal Arnold had served with the Colusa County Sheriff's Department for 10 years and was survived by his wife and two children.
