Lieutenant Robert Curry was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 49 in Orange Grove. The driver of another vehicle turned in front of his department motorcycle, causing the collision.

Lieutenant Curry had served with the Gulfport Police Department for 14 years. He is survived by his wife and two small children. His wife also serves as a lieutenant with the agency.

I have heard wonderful stories about my uncle Rob I really wish I could have met him but I know he died in service a noble death. And I know he is loved and thought about and often when I go to pray I often pray to him and I hope he is having a wonderful time in heaven
