Terrell Lee "Terry" Adams

Police Officer Terry Adams was killed in a motorcycle crash on Tift Avenue near Potts Road in Tifton at 12:59 p.m.

Officer Adams was en route to assist another officer and had his emergency equipment activated when a pickup truck pulled out of a shopping center, causing him to collide with the driver's side door. He succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a local hospital.

Officer Adams had served with the Tifton Police Department for seven years and previously served with law enforcement in Alabama. He was survived by his wife and four children.
