Howard Evans, Jr.

Patrolman Howard Evans suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after responding to a vehicle accident and a medical emergency call.

He collapsed while on duty at approximately 9:30 pm. He was transported to Sabine Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about one hour later.

Patrolman Evan had served with the Zwolle Police Department for 16 years. He is survived by his wife, son, and two step-daughters.
