Claude Earl Bowman

Sergeant Claude Bowman succumbed to injuries from a motorcycle accident on Lake Street Road in Bartlett at 6:30 pm.

He was pursuing a speeding vehicle when he struck the rear of a car that quickly stopped to make a left turn. He was transported to the hospital where he passed away a few hours later.

Sergeant Bowman served with the Cook County Highway Police for one year. He was survived by his wife and daughter.
