Joshua Kelley-Eklund

Detective Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Detective Victor Lemus, and Detective William Osborn were killed in an explosion at the Biscailuz Center Academy Training at 1060 North Eastern Street in Los Angeles around 7:30 a.m.

Detective Kelley-Eklund had served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for 19 years, assigned to the Special Enforcement Bureau. He is survived by his wife and seven children.

Dear Mr. Kelley-Eklund,

Recently I ran a colors run with my class for the LASD Stars Explorer academy in honor of you, Detective Lemus, and Detective Osborn who lost their lives to protect the citizens of LA. I was so touched by what your relatives said about you and I wish I could have met you to ask some questions. I will strive everyday to become a hero like you, and I hope that one day I could behold as much honor as you did along with your partners.
