Officer Noah Merrill was struck by a tractor-trailer and killed during a traffic stop on I-10 eight miles east of Benson.
Officer Merrill had served with the Arizona Department of Public Safety for eight years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany during the 1960s as a member of the 602nd Aircraft Control & Warning Squadron. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.

Mack graduated in the academy just prior to my class, and his loss always seemed personal to me, being close in service time, age, family, etc. Provided photograph of his Memorial to the retiree’s coalition & retired group that tends to their care. Never Forgotten..!
