Special Agent Francis Miller was killed in an on-duty traffic crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway one mile north of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Agent Miller had served with the Drug Enforcement Administration for 13 years. He was survived by his wife and two children.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 35th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
