View all 133 ReflectionsWell another Christmas Eve has arrived Big Brother, and here I am to spend a little time with you as always. Sorry I missed our Thanksgiving time together as I had to work the holiday this year. But, I am here tonight. I love you and miss you like always.
I went home in August for Mom's "Celebration of Life" that the Family had for Mom. Got to spend some quality time with our Siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, and even Aunt Marcia and Uncle Bob. Although, I think it will be the last time for big family gatherings as we are all getting older and traveling is harder.
I know that you and Mom were laughing your butts off watching Judi and I sitting in her kitchen dividing Mom's ashes up into little bags so that everyone could have a portion of her ashes to disperse in the secret spot that Mom wanted her ashes to be spread. Have to admit I was laughing myself when I told Judi we would be quite a site to anyone watching us through her kitchen window.
Everyone shared a lot of wonderful memories of Mom and all of us kids growing up and the stories most people thought were made up but actually were true. We released live Butterflies that were awesome......all 50 of them survived and flew around Mike and Judi's backyard. Hope you and Mom enjoyed those moments with us !!
The world is still crazy around us and when I watch everything unfolding around me I am sometimes glad that my time here is almost done. I am glad that I got to experience the world when she was at her best.
I am still working part-time and doing things at a slower pace, still taking care of my kitties along with a couple of God's wild creatures who have found their way to the food bowl.....a opossum I have named Opie and a raccoon I have named Panda.
I have lots of Family and Friends who fill each day with love and laughter.......but there will forever be that place in my heart that loves and misses you. Nothing ever fills that empty space that was left behind when God took you home.
I love you more than my words can ever express
Love always and Forever
