Kenneth Mason McCarty

Deputy McCarty was killed in an automobile accident while responding to backup a state trooper. It is believed that a piece of debris was dropped from atop a railroad trestle and struck Deputy McCarty's windshield, causing his vehicle to strike a bridge abutment.

Deputy McCarty was survived by his son, two daughters, and two grandsons.
