Reflections for Patrol Officer John H. Perkey

I have heard stories of you my whole life. My mother loved watching cartoons and giggling with you. My aunt your wife Jane was so broken by becoming your widow at 20. I don’t believe she ever got over your loss. This month 3/2026 she joined you in heaven. I hope there was a joyful reunion.

First I would like to say thank you to you my cousin for your sacrifice and selfless service. I wasn't born in your time, nor did I know you. I want you to know that You Are Gone But Not Forgotten. You and your family will always be in my prayers. God Speed My Brother And My Cousin

Policeman's Prayer

.....Author Unknown

When I start my tour of duty God
wherever crime may be,
As I walk the darkened streets alone,
let me be close to Thee.

Please give me understanding
with both the young and old.
Let me listen with attention
until their story's told.

Let me never make a judgement
in a rash or callous way,
but let me hold my patience,
let each man have his say.

Lord, if some dark and dreary night,
I must give up my life.
Lord, with your understanding love,
protect my children and wife.
