Mike taught me a lot. Integrity was the highest among the list of things that Mike had to give new officers back in the day. We shared many shifts together and I always felt good when I was the new guy and 38 asked to meet up. That meant that you cut the mustard in his eyes. I really miss those times. Although it has been over 6 years since he has left us, he and his family are in my thoughts often.
I will never forget Mike's smile or laugh. He was always upbeat and when he smiled, you had to smile with him. Mike was a cop's cop. There could not have been a better family man. He was a great friend and an awesome role model. I know that he is by my side every night.
Since the passing of my father on July 15, 2004, I have yet another example of how precious life is. I really miss these two men that have influenced my life and career as such. Someday I will see you both again in the place that the Lord has created for us. Until then I can only do what great men have taught me and continue to carry the different torches that both of them gave me.
Thank you Mike. We will meet again.

Please, ladies and gentlemen, wear your seatbelts. Tragedies such as this must be avoided.

My brother has touched so many lives when he was with us. His contributions were remarkable that he had made for his family, friends, and his job. I came upon this poem. I sat back and thought of Michael. Because he was a earth angel that was sent here just for us , I will always love you. your little sis Kim. Poem as follows. Occasionally, we are graced with the presence of an earth bound angel. They are unable to stay with us for long, but while they bring unprecedented joy and happiness to all they touch. While they are here, we bask in their goodness and marvel at their contribution to the world. When they leave, we are left with the devastation that comes with losing such a wonderful being... but we must remember... the earth bound angels are not ours to keep. They are ours to enjoy, learn from, and behold until they return home.
Kimberly Villiard
My brother Mike Villiard was a man of integrity, honesty, respect, dedication, and principle. From a very young age his dream was Law Enforcement. Mike fulfilled his dream and became the "BEST". Mike gave above and beyond the call of duty. When Mike left us he left a huge void in many fellow officers and people who really loved him. My brother was indeed a man of extrodinary magnitude who will be truly missed.
I love you and miss you Mike

Mike Villiard represented everyting that is good and noble about our profession. A dedicated family man, an excellent cop and a man of principal.
I had the honor of serving on SWAT wih Mike for many years, and always felt safe with him by my side. In my fifteen plus years in law enforcement, I have never known or worked with anyone better, he was simply the best.
I miss you, #38, but I will continue to fight on, for you will always be at my side.
