Reflections for Deputy Sheriff David William March
I have been coming to this website since November 13,2001, when Deputy Sheriff Billy Ray Walls III was shot and killed in the line of duty. Billy and I started our law enforcement careers together as dispatchers at the University of Kentucky Police Department. Many times, during "hot" situations, we would climb the walls, wanting to be out in the action, instead of sitting in dispatch. As the years went by, Billy seemed to be a magnet for the "heavy stuff", and loving every minute of it. We never know when we leave for work whether we will come home, that is a part of the job and we all know that...to the family, friends, and fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters of Deputy March, he will be remembered as a hero by all of you, keep your memories close to your heart and he will never be far away. He is patrolling streets of gold with the finest law enforcement officers God ever made...My prayers will be with all of you at the most difficult time in a law enforcement family. Isaiah 40:31

To the family and friends of Deputy March, may God watch over you and keep you and may the knowledge that he is with the Lord help the pain seem a little more bearable. May Deputy March live in your hearts and minds forever, until we are all reunited again.

RIP Deputy March
To the family and co-workers of Deputy Marsh, no words can express my profound sorrow and anguish. Rest assured that he died a hero, and will not be forgotten. Not tomorrow, not ever. We are all a family and never hesitate to reach out to your thousands of brothers and sisters for anything you may need.
God bless you and may the flights of angels convey David to his final home.
Sincerely,

To the family and friends of David March my thought and prayer go out to you as you try to make sense out of this tragic event. I know you take comfort in knowing that Deputy March died doing what he loved to do and he is now patrolling a beat in heaven. God Speed Brother and rest easy.
