Reflections for Police Officer Dennis E. Bennington

I remember playing baseball in your back yard as a child. I remember you watching me play ball at Turkeyridge too. I also remember the night my Dad woke me up and told me what happened to you. Although I was only ten years old, I understood the lost, the tragdey of the situation. You were, and are, an inspiration to all who wear a uniform, as well as those who do not. I have thought of you many times over the years and I'm proud to be able to say I'm a better man having known you. Semper Fidelis, Dennis.

Thank you for your service Officer Bennington. Please continue to watch over your daughter. Although I am sure she is proud of you, she has sacrificed much. You have not been forgotten Officer Bennington, rest in peace.

I just read a reflection left by your daughter on the Ohio COPS web-site. May you and your wife continue to look over your family here on earth. God bless you and all those that love you.
