Dear Keith:

What can be said or done to bring you back, or insulate your family from the never ending pain and sorrow that now face? I hope that my words will in some small way, bring some peace to your family and honor your service. “PROTECT AND SERVE”. Yes folks, it really is a code we in law enforcement live by…not a cliché some poke fun at. Keith, the cry of the wolf at the door was answered by you and you paid the ultimate price…but you did what we are sworn to do.

The cowardly vermin, I’m sorry to hear, is still alive. Reading how this filth was paroled and committed yet another murder surely points out how successful “rehabilitation” is, doesn’t it? How I wish I could have taken him into custody. But I will speak no more of that filth on this sacred site. “For the candle of the wicked shall be put out forever”.

Thank you for the service you provided to the people of Whittier, the people of California, and to all decent law abiding people in America. Know you will NEVER be allowed to die. Oh no, not here. Thank you for keeping our solemn oath of putting others before ourselves. Thank you for showing our fellow Americans that we are not “pigs”, “killers” and the like. But rather, a small group willing to stand up for what is right, even if we get walloped for it. A small group willing to make certain that the ideals and beliefs of this great nation shall be guaranteed and protected for all.

Rest in peace, we have the watch. May Almighty God bless you, your family, police officers everywhere, and God bless the United States of America. Amen

May Officer Boyer now rest in the arms of the Lord. God bless him, his family and colleagues. Once again a criminal was released into society and soon thereafter killed this dedicated police officer.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Whittier Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

My deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and coworkers of Officer Boyer. So frustrating to see yet another hero killed at the hands of a worthless coward simply because he was doing his job. Even more tragic to hear he was so close to retiring. Rest in Peace Brother.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln
