Lord God, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our brother-in-blue, Detective Timothy Jones, of the Park Forest IL Police Department was violently and eventually taken from us after being mortally wounded, shot in the head and face multiple times, while attempting to apprehend a robbery suspect, on March 13, 2016, in the Line-of-Duty. His struggle to survive ended on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, as a direct result of the wounds he sustained on March 13, 2016. O Lord, come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, comrades, and all those who mourn his passing by the power and protection of the Cross. We ask this through the mighty and holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by His Authority and Sacrificial Blood. Amen.

God’s Mission Statement for Law Enforcement:

In Paul’s Letter to the Romans: “For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose.”
(Romans 13:3-4 TLB)

“Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4),

“Jesus told her [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” (John 11:25), and

“Hate evil and love what is good; turn your courts into true halls of justice.” (Amos 5:15a).
