Though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I know You are with me, Your staff and rod do comfort me. Works and not words, are the proof of love. A double Amen to that saying Officer Cook. Your impeccable performance and the love you had for your job should be copied by other officers. If we could duplicate yourself, we of course would, we can't, but we know you are listening and observing all that is being done each moment. When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a manner that when you die the world cries and you rejoice. We are all crying over your tragic passing, even as you were a hero doing a job you wanted to do since your younger days. Your loving spirit, Officer Cook, is now and has been since God called you home, continuing to shine down on us as does the spirit of your beloved father, Charles. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. The twenty-five years of your life were testimony of a well organized and a great life lived to its fullest. I still say you and Karen would have made great parents because of your fine upbringings. I miss you and regret never having the opportunity to have known you.

The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things. Compassionate the mountains rise, dim with the wistful dimness of old eyes that, having looked on life time out of mind, know that the simple gift of being kind is greater than all wisdom of the wise. By being able to enjoy quite a few hobbies when not working such as: photography and hunting, this was one way, Officer Cook, you were able to enjoy some of the finer things in life.
