I was only 16yo ... Bonilla was covering for my step dad Juan De Dios... That day was a sad day for him... He never forgive himself... Now Juan is in heaven... At 85yo and 40 years in the hangar... He always remember Bonilla. Blessings to his family...

Jose: Thanks for your service and sacrifice to the citizens of Puerto Rico. I thank you as well for service in Viet Nam--no doubt serving as a helicopter pilot. I'm sure that your police and military exploits were the stuff of legend. Anyway thanks for serving as a police officer/pilot an serving in the U.S. Army in combat.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 17th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace.

Officer Bonilla-Gonzalez,
As one officer wrote in another fallen officer's reflection-"No fallen should be without a reflection." I would like to say thank you for your service to the citizens of Puerto Rico.
