Hi. My name is Meade. I am the youngest son to Howard. I have never had the pleasure of meeting anyone from my dad's side. I have been looking for my siblings since I was 12 years old. I was just a year and a half when our dad was taken from us. I would love to reach out and meet any of my siblings. Thank you to the department for never giving up on his case.

Officer Huang, as the only LOD death in a now defunct agency, you would be unique, but from some of the posts above, you were unique for very positive reasons. We can only speculate and hope that true justice was faced by your cowardly murderers as we acknowledge the 31st anniversary of that vicious crime.
For your loved ones at home, no doubt each day that has passed since has been one of sadness. Time heals all wounds, they say, but some wounds never really heal, they just sort of seem that way on the surface but down deep, they are as fresh as the day they came into existence.
For your professional family, for you and for all our Brothers and Sisters who have gone before us, it's heartbreaking to know that, every day, we wait for new wounds to erupt, hoping it doesn't happen, hoping that "Maybe today, every officer in every jurisdiction and on every job, gets through without a scratch." Even if we don't know you, never met you, never heard of you until seeing this website or visiting the Memorial in D.C., we still hurt and we still mourn your death and celebrate your life. You are family.
God Bless and may you eternally Rest in Peace, Brother.

I never knew Officer Huang. In fact, he passed away before I was born. Every shift, I walk by his photo hung on the wall at our Station, sometimes glacing up at it and thinking about the man I never met. This is just another example in the law enforcement family that our fallen heros will never be forgotten. May his memory live on in his loved one's hearts.
