At times apprehension can occur and for those composed and bred in honor, integrity and dignity their characters take on a more central definition. You surely, certainly and most humbly, Officer Cook, heroically rescued the persons of Dade County from an evil and ignominious individual. You did everything by the book with the highest standards of class, dedication and decency. A loss that saddened humanity and mankind of a loving brother, uncle, son and darling husband to Karen. Though Dade County is where your brave name and heroic legacy shall endure forever as your family's humbly blessed angel of dignity, character and honorable integrity all subsequently aided your battles and fights over violence, evil and fierce wickedness. Domestic violence is a major problem today that threatens society from its healthy and normal pursuits of life and cherished happiness. Yours, Officer Cook, was taken during a domestic dispute as you voluntarily answered a call your final one on this earth and endeavored to create a peaceful resolution if only Mr. Pearsall had dropped his weapon and listened to you and your colleagues and friends that fateful afternoon of May 16,1979. Officer DiGenova and Officer Edgerton were assigned that essential mission to restore calm you came with your last partner, Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln. You'll forever be remembered and saluted for being an angelic hero. Your name and legacy are stamped and sealed by outstanding and truly trusted commitment, character and convictions all sincerely appreciated.
