The cusp was just beginning to take shape when God sadly brought your angelic and heroically humble soul back to heaven on May 16,1979, Officer Cook. You did so much for Dade County residents striving for a semblance of peace, happiness and prosperity. One very hot afternoon in Liberty City all kayos exploded just before the end of your shift when you and your last partner, Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln responded to that ugly domestic violence call. But you'll be humbly remembered and saluted for acumen, wisdom and virtue combining with your unassuming and unselfish character, commitment and convictions all filled with determination and dedication. Desire, decency and the accomplishment of trying to quiet down a wayward man. You gave everything to those battles where bravery and boldness went along on your sacred missions of goodwill, hope and faithfulness. Badge#1664 was complete with respect, vigilance and carefully planned due diligence. May you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. You patrol God's heavenly streets while other officers endeavor to utilize their own morals, values and scruples to succeed. Your family, Officer Cook, tragically and most unfortunately experienced this when you lost your life defending the residents of Dade County where you lived and grew up. Your ingenuity, intelligence and ingenuity did come in handy when you fought those difficult and sometimes heated battles over violence and turmoil. No one ever expected such a loyal and humbly blessed servant of humility and heart, dignity and integrity to lose his life while spreading peace, security and blessing over our very homes where pursuits, dreams and aspirations abound. We salute you for honesty and having an unselfish soul and spirit always ready when the calls of responsibility would come. The Cook Family has been so beloved and blessed while they resided in Dade County primarily in North Miami Beach where I still reside and reflect. After all forty-six years is a long, long time since your patrolled actually Officer Cook, you began your law enforcement career back in 1973 over fifty years ago when decency, desire and dedication policed along with unsung, unwavering and unselfish integrity, honesty, dignity and the outstanding character, class and commitment of your convictions in your heart and soul. They were complete with true trustworthiness and every bit of unbridled tenacity which endeavored to kayo evil, violence and wanton senselessness that further corrodes society's pursuits of shared goodness, peace, prosperity and faithful goodwill all sacred, versatile and virtuous.
